WELL, HERE I AM!
I was born on August 30, 2023, in Michigan by Gayle an AKC breeder of Maltese. My parents are Sire: CH. CINDERELLA’S KATCH ME IF YOU KAN, and Dam: SEREN-I-T’S INDIAN LIL’ BRITCHES.
After Nancy and Bill lost Krystal because of a brain tumor at only six years old, this was a time in their life when they had to decide if they wanted to get another dog because they were not getting any younger. During Krystal’s illness, Nancy was in touch with Gayle to get advice and she knew the quality of her dogs.
Gayle of SEREN-I-T’S MALTESE travels from Michigan to Borrego Springs, CA, and shows her dogs at many events.
When Nancy and Bill decided that the house was too lonely and quiet, they realized they needed another dog. Nancy called Gayle and she said that her puppies were already spoken for and that she would put their names on a waiting list. It would probably be in February 2024 that she would have available 3-month-old puppies.
Now the wait begins!
The story goes this way, as Nancy was driving to town to get her haircut she got a call from Gayle and pulled off of the road to a parking lot. Gayle said that the person who was on the waiting list for a female Maltese had an emergency and they could not get the female dog at this time.
Gayle sent photos of me to Nancy and one look at me and she said “Yes,” they wanted to adopt me and make me part of the “Paws Family.”
Now you are probably wondering how Nancy and Bill could get me if I am in Michigan, but as it was meant to be I am now in California at Borrego Springs! Since Nancy and Bill have family in Orange County California, they made arrangements to visit their family over the Thanksgiving Day Holiday and then drive over to Borrego Springs to pick me up and drive back to Yuma, Arizona.
Now it was time for them to decide on a name for me. If you remember they had Lady I and Lady II, then it was Daisy and Dolly, and then Krystal. They had several cute names on their list but decided to pick the name, Khole, it just sounded right. At the time they did not know that my dad's name was Katch Me If You Kan (all letters a K).
So my name is SEREN-I-T’S MI LIL’ KHLOE, and I was born in the same month as Nancy in August so we will have many birthdays to celebrate in the years to come.
I am getting settled into my new house and with all of my energy at only 3 months old, my pet parents are keeping up with me. While traveling in their RV is over, we will have many years of having fun, going for walks, and playing in the yard.
